Causes of Heart Rhythm Disorders

Heart Rhythm Disorders or Arrhythmia occur when there is an irregular generation of electrical impulses from the pacemaker node or due to impulse generation in any part of heart except the pacemaker node. A block or delay in the electrical pathways can also trigger Heart Rhythm Disorders.

Sometimes, healthy people who have had no history of medical problems can also develop Heart Rhythm Disorders. This may be because their hearts might have lost some of its natural pacemaker ability.

Common Heart Rhythm Disorders occur due to abnormal heart valve function and heart failures. However, Heart Rhythm Disorders can also occur for no known reason.
