Capsule Endoscopy
Capsule endoscopy is a procedure that uses a tiny wireless camera to take pictures of your digestive tract. As the capsule travels through your digestive tract, the camera takes thousands of pictures that are transmitted to a recorder you wear on a belt around your waist. It helps doctors see inside your small intestine — an area that isn't easily reached with more-traditional endoscopy procedures. It is useful for detecting polyps, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease), ulcers, and tumors of the small intestine.

A hernia is tissue that bulges out of a weak spot in the abdominal wall. Your intestine may bulge out through this weakened area. This repair can be done through open or laparoscopic surgery.

Appendectomy
An appendectomy is surgery to remove the appendix when it is infected. This condition is called appendicitis. If you have appendicitis, your appendix must be removed right away.

A cholecystectomy is a procedure in which the gallbladder is removed from the body. Laparoscopy enables the removal of the gallbladder while making small incisions into the abdomen and not a very large one. The procedure is generally done when you have stones in your gallbladder which can block the flow of bile in your digestive system.

Whipple procedure — also known as a pancreaticoduodenectomy — is a complex operation to remove the head of the pancreas, the first part of the small intestine (duodenum), the gallbladder and the bile duct.
